Interesting January events
It’s a new year and definitely a new opportunity to experience new things that are happening around San Jose, California and the Bay Area.
I’m a big believer that life should be full of experiences. So here are some things that you can put on your calendar in January 2008.
Vroom Vroom
2008 Silicon Valley International Auto Show is back in town. From Thursday January 10 to Sunday January 13 we’ll be introduced to new makes and models. Last year we were introduced to a hybred sports car. It will be interesting to see what the automotive mogels have prototyped this year.
For more information contact The San Jose McEnery Convention Center (408) 277-5277 or visit here.
It looks like we won’t be just seeing automobiles this year. The convention center will open its doors to the 2008 Arlen Ness Bike Show on January 26.
If you’re a bike lover this is the place to be in January. In the 100,000 square feet of the convention center there will be over 225 bike show entries, national vendors, and local vendors.
Arlen Ness, Corey Ness, and Donnie Smith will be at the show signing autographs and talking shop.
You can find out more about the show and it’s vendors here.
Rock Me Amadeus!
It’s not the alternative Amadeus that I grew up with. The California Theater will open it’s doors to the Symphony Silicon Valley.
The Symphony Silicon Valley will be performing Ralph Vaughan Williams’ A Lark Ascending, Wolfgang Amadeus, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, and many other classical variations on January 17 – 22.
Feed Me Seymour!
The AMTS is opening its doors to Hal Linden and the cast of Little Shop of Horrors. This cult comedy classic will hit the stage each night from January 22 – February 3.
Will Hal Linden be the one eaten by the plant from hell? You’ll just have to attend the musical and find out.
Hello San Jose!
What do you have planned for January? Is there an event that you can’t wait to attend? Tell me about it!
