San Jose sparkling soon

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

CityDome.jpgDowntown San Jose, California has the solution for homelessness. Employ the homeless for the “Clean Team” Which I think is a great idea. On Santa Clara and first there are nearly 10 – 20 homeless people hanging out with nothing to do. Why not give them the opportunity to clean up the city that they live in and earn a way at the same time.

The San Jose Downtown Association will employ Ambassadors that will direct people to stores, restaurants, and current events. The Ambassadors will be trained in CPR and will be constantly connected to the San Jose Police Department via radio.

Though I have to agree with a writer for The Metro. The San Jose Downtown Association needs to train them in more than CPR and business locations. Ambassadors also need to be trained in community, languages and history of San Jose.

The Governor Vs. The homeless of San Jose, CA.

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

California Governor Arnold“This is a nationally recognized program that gets mentally ill homeless adults off the streets, and to throw that under the bus is unconscionable,” Sen. Darrell Steinberg said to The Mercury News.

Everywhere I look it seems like the low-income individuals, homeless and mentally ill are getting the short end of the stick. Yet, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger cuts more health benefits.

People wonder why fights break out in county offices, medical clinics and hospitals.
People are tired of understaffed, overworked physicians and waiting long hours in the county medical facilities. I’m not talking about one or two hours. I personally have spent nine hours in emergency because of Governor Schwarzeneggers budget cuts and lack of staffing.

The U.S. Olympic Committee Is Impressed

Monday, August 20th, 2007

San Jose, California has been the host of the Visa Championship in the past week. You would be amazed at the people swarming into the San Jose International Airport.

The U.S. Olympic Committee was so impressed that San Jose, California will be hosting the 2008 Paicific Alliance Gymnastics Championship that will bring competators from China, Japan, Russia, U.S., Australia, Canada, South Korea and many more.

For those who ride public transportation this is going to be hell. While your cranky about the light-rail being overcrowded downtown just think of the extra temporary employment that the Pacific Alliance Gymnastics will bring in.

Investigating Tillman

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Lately the Tillman family of San Jose has been in the News. After seven investigations there is going to be yet another investigation into the death of Pat Tillman.

Pat Tillman origionally from San Jose, California left his Football career to enlist in the United States Army. On April 22nd, 2004 Pat Tillman was announced dead.

At first it was announced that the shot came from combat, now Pentagon has announced that the fire that lead to Pat Tillman’s death was friendly.

What will come from the 8th investigation we can only wait and see. It’s my hope that after more then three long years the family will finally get the truth.
