A divided city

Human nature bewilders my mind. There were a lot of mashed thoughts today as a friend and I went around to do errands in San Jose, California. Most of the day was spent dealing with people that were struggling today. People that a lot of Silicon Valley residents seem to have written off as bad products or a waste of time.
My neighbor is one of those people. We first arrived at Operation Share to obtain some groceries that would allow the family to stretch their monthly paycheck. Even thought it was one line, I could see little bundles of nationality forming.
It’s almost as if you could see what they were thinking in their eyes. The energy seemed to be that if the person was white and had a vehicle then they didn’t need help providing groceries for their family.
Our next stop was to Sacred Heart. My neighbor needed to find some clothes for interviews. I really am not a busy body who likes to get into peoples business but I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing behind me.
A man and woman behind me had the nerve to talk about how two other cultures were ruining it for the people of California and the city of San Jose.
Are people that dense? Can they actually stand in the halls of a social organization (free food and clothing) and blame another culture for the financial problems in their life?
I wanted to turn around and say “Hello! Maybe that’s one of the reasons why so many people are struggling in San Jose, California.” Any person that points a finger has to look at the three that are cupped and pointing right back at themselves.
I’m sorry this turned out to be more of a rant than a story about San Jose, California. I just feel that people could spend more time doing something about their lives than standing and talking about how someone else is ruining it.

I’ve been lucky to see two new movies this week instead of watching it on DVD. Don’t get me wrong, I love the DVD’s that come to my mailbox every day via Netflix but there is just something about a night out on the town and going to the movies.
I don’t care what some people say in San Francisco, California. San Jose, California is a city. Yes, you guessed it. I’m tired of people saying, “I don’t know where anything is around here, I’m from the city.” What the?
The thought is definitely interesting. This morning I woke up to an article in The New York Times about a man who has a different job every week.
Sorry for dropping the ball around Veterans day. I was really looking forward to finding Veterens around San Jose, California and celebrating with words. Especially the United States Marine Corp which I hear celebrated their Birthday recently.
The holiday season is coming. Soon Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas will be here!
It’s almost the weekend, which means
